Captains: Danny Skelton, Mike Myers, Ethan Polaski, and Drew Astorino
The Lancers come into the 2006 football season with high expectations and plenty of confidence. Once again, re-alignment within the area has the Lancers moving to another region. General McLane will compete this season in Region 6. One of the toughest and most competetive in the area, Region 6 includes games against powerhouse schools such as McDowell, Strong Vincent and Cathedral Prep as part of the Lancers regular schedule. Success last season and a core of returning players have fueled the Lancers to work hard in the off season. Top players lost to graduation (Ben Swank, all-D-10 quarterback and Rob Stoner, all-state lineman) will be a challenge to replace, but back for another season are a host of talented players ready and able to step in and fill the key gaps. Drew Astorino will take over as quarterback; all-region players Bob Stauffer, Kelley Ponsoll, and Dan Skelton are all returning to the offensive unit; all-region fullback Brad Callan moves to the offensive line this season. Ryan Skelton, Shawn Walker, Ethan Polaski, Justin Hall and Mike Myers, as well as the starting linemen will return as well. The Lancers are looking forward to building on last years successes and taking this years team even further.
