The General McLane High School Library is open daily from
7:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Before and after schools hours are available
upon request.
Contact one of the Library staff members for a schedule of
availability.
The Library has seating for approximately 90 people, allowing
teachers to bring classes in while students are also doing private study.
There is a network of computers (PC and MAC) for student use as well
as stand-alone computers dedicated to the web collection.
A xerox machine is available for student use at a cost of .15 per page.
Each student and staff member is issued a library card
and is responsible for any and all materials signed out to them.
Students are allowed to have five items signed out at a time.
If necessary, two overdue notices will be sent to the student (during
tutorial).
A third notice is a bill mailed directly to the home.
Fines are charged on overdue interlibrary loan materials only.
NO food or drink in the Library.
Students must follow the pass procedures as outlined in the student
handbook.
ALL materials are available for circulation.

Materials not returned promptly by the date due are considered
overdue. All overdue materials are considered obligations.
The library
does not charge fines for overdue materials, however if the materials are
not returned after notices have been sent, they become office obligations
and as such are subject to office consequences. The library does charge fines for
overdue inter-library loan materials.
